The Call for Proposals for GBTA Canada 2025 – Toronto is now open! This is your opportunity to shape the future of business travel and share your expertise with industry professionals from across the country. 


GBTA’s Commitment to Professional Development:

GBTA is committed to incorporating diverse perspectives within each session and across the entire Conference. We encourage you to submit content topics that will be timely and most useful to travel professionals as the business travel industry’s landscape continues to evolve and restore.

To ensure a wide-ranging selection of sessions, we request proposals include lecture or panel presentations with diverse speakers and audience engagement that will reach varying skill levels and interests of the attendees.

What are the dates for the GBTA Canada Conference 2025 | Toronto?

GBTA Canada Conference 2025 | Toronto will be held April 28 – 30. 2025.

In which venue will the Conference be held?

The Conference will be held at the Beanfield Centre in Toronto, Canada.

If my proposal is accepted, will GBTA reimburse travel expenses?

GBTA will not reimburse travel expenses.

If my proposal is accepted, will GBTA compensate the presenter, or any speakers engaged to present the material?

GBTA will not compensate presenters or speakers that may be engaged to present the material.

Who is the target audience for this event?

GBTA Conference in Toronto draws business travel professionals from across Canada and the United States. These professionals work in both the buyer and supplier capacity and have responsibility for corporate travel program management, meetings & events, procurement, travel security, sales, and account management among many other industry verticals

How many proposals are typically accepted?

GBTA anticipates accepting 9 – 12 sessions for the 2025 Canada Conference.

How much time will I have for my session?

Each education session will be 45 minutes in length. This time should include carve outs for speaker introductions, presentation of material and Q & A time. Time limits will be strictly enforced to allow for program continuity.

If my proposal is accepted, when will I be informed of my session date and time?

Submitters should be prepared to present their session on any day during the Conference (April 28 – 30, 2025) GBTA Canada will attempt to schedule sessions by the end of December to allow submitters time to confirm speakers.

What are the criteria for reviewing proposals?

Submissions provided to GBTA Canada will be reviewed and scored by the GBTA Canada Advisory Board.


Criteria for review include but are not limited to relevance of content, level of educational content i.e., fundamental, intermediate, or advanced, applicability to the Canadian marketplace, diversity of thought, overall quality of proposal etc.

Can a supplier / allied business submit a proposal?

Yes, GBTA’s attendees are from both the buyer and supplier side of the business and allied educational content is valuable, however commercial content will not be accepted. Submissions must provide educational content for the audience with no commercial content.

When will I be notified if my proposal has been accepted?

Submitters will receive notification regarding acceptance by the end of November 2024.
